Li Xiao Ying

Based in the United Kingdom, but originally from China, Ying Li is a first-year LLB undergraduate at the University College London (UCL, World Ranked #12 Law School). Aside from her impressive academic achievements, which include 3 A*s at the A-Levels, she is passionate about exploring the law in context.


This includes analysis of government legal policies and its impacts on society. She is particularly interested in human rights law and immigration because of its current relevance and ever-changing nature. To date, she has engaged in various work experiences involving handling of immigration and asylum cases resulting in a desire to dive deeper into public law.


Having successfully navigated the complex process of applying to UK law schools, she is also a passionate mentor in helping applicants through the process. Through her write-ups and articles, you can anticipate rigorous discussions on human rights and immigration issues as well as critical analysis of the effectiveness of corresponding government legislations.
